On Wednesday, 6 October, 2021, Pontifical University of the Holy Cross hosted a feast of welcome for all her new students. The new students include priests, seminarians, religious and consecrated men and women, and lay persons from various countries and cultures of the world. This remarkable event took place at the Great Hall of the University.
The event began with an opening prayer and speech by the Rector of the University, Rev. Prof. Luis Navarro. After the Rector’s brief speech, there was a buffet at the first floor of the University building, during which the new students and staff of the university had moments of salutations.
Immediately after this followed an informative session anchored by Rev. Prof. Sergio Tapia, the Coordinator of Studies, Faculty of Social Communications of the University. The new seminarians of Sedes family fully and joyfully participated in this event which marks the proper beginning of their academic journey in Rome.
