To begin this new academic cycle, we renewed a cherished tradition in our seminary: entrusting our year to Jesus and to the maternal protection of the Virgin Mary. We gathered in the prelatic church of Opus Dei, Santa Maria della Pace, to celebrate the Holy Mass and ask for light and strength for the months ahead. This sacred place, filled with peace and reflection, also houses the relics of Saint Josemaría Escrivá, whose call to holiness in everyday life continues to guide our formation.

After the celebration, we visited the crypt, nearby chapels, and a gallery displaying personal items used by Saint Josemaría. This moment of reflection allowed us to deepen our understanding of his life, his dreams, and his spiritual legacy.

This academic year also welcomes new seminarians from around the world. Upon arrival, they began an intensive Italian language course to fully integrate into academic life. Second-year seminarians are engaged in courses on ministry, liturgy, and pastoral care, while a group from the third year is participating in a German language course in preparation for future international missions.
