On Saturday, October 10, together with a large representation of the seminarians of the College, we had the opportunity to visit the barracks of the Pontifical Swiss Guard in the Vatican, accompanied by two Swiss Guards.
In addition to learning about their history, structure, functions, and the dynamics of their service as the smallest military corps in the world, yet one of great importance in the protection of the Pope, we were also able to visit the important places of their life and service, see their weapons and armour, and, particularly interestingly, learn and personally practice some of their military commands, salutes, and positions.
