On Sunday, February 16th, after completing their first semester and exams, the seminarians enjoyed a refreshing one-day trip to Naples. This break gave them the chance to recharge before starting the new semester on February 17th, providing a brief respite before diving into the next phase of their academic journey.
The highlight of the day was the visit to the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, which houses the relic of St. Januarius, the patron saint of Naples. Before Mass, the seminarians had a guided tour of the Museum of Treasure located inside the cathedral. Following the tour, Holy Mass was presided over by Rector don Sergio Tapia. The seminary choir beautifully enhanced the liturgy, and as it was a Sunday Mass, it was open to the public, filling the cathedral and creating a deeply communal atmosphere.
After Mass, the seminarians split into smaller groups for a self-guided tour of the city, exploring Naples' rich history, beautiful ports, and vibrant culture.
