As followers of Christ, who is the greatest example of love, we are always called to encourage peace in the world. In recent days, the whole world has been in unrest because of the situation between Russia and Ukraine. During this time, the seminarians of Sedes Sapientiae joined the Church to pray for peace over all the world as Pope Francis has asked the faithful.
The Holy Mass celebrated in our community on the 1st of March was offered for this intention. The first Friday of every month, our priests and seminarians dedicate the night to vigil in front of the Blessed Sacrament. This is done as an act of love and devotion towards our Lord, as the seminarians take turns to remain with Him throughout the night. The vigil ends with Benediction and Mass the following morning. This month, the vigil was done with the particular intention for an end to the violence.
Here at Sedes Sapientiae, we continue to pray for peace throughout the whole word, and particularly for the people affected by this conflict.
