Victory Away!

On Saturday, February 22, an exciting friendly football match took place against Mater Ecclesiae College, where we emerged victorious with a 5-3 win. The match kicked off with a bang as Mathias Msonganzila, our football team’s captain, scored the opening goal with a powerful header early in the first half, giving us a 1-0 lead. Mater Ecclesiae didn’t take long to respond, and just before halftime, they managed to equalize, making it 1-1.

The second half was full of action, with us dominating the scoring. Firstly, each team managed to score two additional goals, making the score 3-3 at one point. The tension was high until Moses Amoako and Elvis Manirakiza from our team stepped up to seal the win, scoring two crucial goals that made it 5-3 in our favor.

The match was a thrilling display of football, with both teams fighting hard, but it was our clinical finishing in the second half that ultimately secured the victory. The fans were treated to an exciting game, with plenty of goals and moments of brilliance from both sides. Many compliments to everyone, and in particular to Don Martin, who led his team brilliantly from the bench.
