To Begin with the Lord...

“The liturgy is the source from which the Church’s strength flows.”

    Where else, then, could we begin our new academic year if not at the Lord’s Eucharistic table, giving thanks for all the blessings we have received during the past year?

On September 1, we inaugurated the new academic year with Holy Mass at the Prelatic Church of Santa María de la Paz at 10:30 a.m. Our rector, Fr. Sergio Tapia, presided over the celebration and delivered a homily that invited reflection. Holy Mass was concelebrated by the vice-rector, Fr. Santiago, and by the formators, Fr. Martín and Fr. Jaime.

The liturgy was enriched by the beautiful singing of the choir, directed by Joseph Arong, a seminarian from the Philippines. All the students, returning from their various summer pastoral experiences, participated in the celebration alongside the new students who have joined us this year.

At the beginning of this new academic year, we entrust the year ahead to the Lord and ask for His grace in all that we undertake.
