The words addressed to them by many Bishops when they pass through our College always give new encouragement to the seminarians, awakening in them joy and gratitude for their vocation and for the Christian faith in general. This time, just at the beginning of the academic year, we received Archbishop Mar Andrews Thazhath, who presides over the Archdiocese of Trichur since 22 January 2007, and is also Apostolic Administrator of Ernakulam-Angamaly since 30 July 2022. During his stay in Rome to see the Holy Father, he took time to come to the seminary, where one of his seminarians is being trained. He encouraged all the seminarians, above all, to pray always; he also asked them to be always in communion with their bishops and the church hierarchy, and asked us to pray also for him and for the responsibilities that fall on his shoulders as pastor of Trichur and apostolic administrator of Ernakulam-Angamaly. The seminarians were very happy to receive his blessing in the Syro-Malabar rite at the end of this brief meeting.
