The Pilgrimage to Orvieto

The Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, to commemorate the feast day of the Faculty of Theology, made a pilgrimage to the historical city of Orvieto. This pilgrimage consists of students studying Theology in the university, ranging from priests, religious, seminarians and other lay persons together with some professors.

They have visited the basilica, dedicated the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and the historical site where Thomas Aquinas being commissioned by Pope Urban IV composed the Eucharistic hymns following the declaration of the feast of Corpus Christi: Panis Angelicus, Pange Lingua, O salutaris Hostia and Tantum Ergo.

It was a time of fraternity for students and professors of the faculty and an opportunity to pray together. A lot of seminarians and some formators of the college were present.
