At the beginning of the new academic year at the University, some seminarians were eager to start studying again. This was especially true for the new students, who had arrived in July and August. After a long and intense Italian language course, the new students felt ready to begin the course and to interact with more people from all over the world at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross.
On October 3, the seminarians arrived at the Basilica of St. Apollinare for the votive Mass of the Holy Spirit, presided over by the prelate of the Opus Dei prelature and concelebrated by many priests. During the celebration of the Holy Mass, the Sedes seminarians served at the altar, and the College choir accompanied the liturgy.
Afterwards, the inaugural conference took place in the aula magna of the University, and the Grand Chancellor, Msgr. Fernando Ocáriz inaugurated the academic year. It was truly a day to remember, and the seminarians returned with joy recounting their experiences and expressing the promise of the academic year ahead.
