"Let us not allow ourselves to be seduced by carelessness, behaving like the foolish virgins, because the demands of love, fidelity and witness to Jesus cannot remain good intentions, we must assume the consequences and remain firm and faithful to Jesus, because He loved us first and gave His life for us, and now He accompanies us on our daily journey until we reach our goal: the definitive encounter with Him in His Kingdom". With these beautiful words Fr. Juan Maldonado concluded his homily during the Mass of thanksgiving which he presided at our College.
Fr. Juan is a priest of the diocese of Puebla, Mexico. He was a student at our college from 2019 to 2022, during which time he completed the first cycle of Theology at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross. He then returned to his diocese, where he received the diaconate and ordination to the priesthood in 2022 and 2023, respectively. After ordination, he helped his diocese in some areas of pastoral work as a curate in a parish and as a collaborator in the minor seminary. He is currently back in Rome to pursue his licentiate studies in Spiritual Theology at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross.
