Thank you a lot, Don Javier

A big change in the seminary! Don Javier Canosa, the rector of Sedes Sapientiae Seminary got transferred to live in the Parish of St Eugenio, a basilica in the diocese of Rome. He served as the rector of Sedes Sapientiae from July 2017 to August 2024. Before assuming the charge of the rector of this seminary, he was the rector of Altomonte, a college in Rome for priests. A well-known canonist of the Pontifical University of Holy Cross, his area of specialization is administrative canon law and the practices of the Roman Curia.

A man of simplicity, charism and profound insights, he maintained a personal relationship with every seminarian. All these seven years don Javier, with his convivial smile, radiated his paternity to the students and guided the seminary in the path of positivity and vigour, remarkably in the difficult Covid time. We, the seminary community, with immense gratitude wish him farewell and blessings in his new apostolate.
