A SONG AT LOCKDOWN
While the Covid-19 epidemic was decreasing in Italy, but was increasing in other countries, a group of seminarians from the Sedes Sapientiae wanted to join their voices in a song of praise to the Lord, the song Somos el Pueblo que te ama (We are the People who love you), composed by Junior Cabrera, director of Alfareros, a music group from the Dominican Republic that is celebrating its 25 years of service to God through music.
The version recorded by the seminarians contains 13 different languages: Italian, Spanish, English, French, Portuguese, Galician, Croatian, Vietnamese, Malayalam, Filipino, Arabic, Swahili and Zapotec, an indigenous language spoken in some areas of Mexico.
The seminarians who promoted this initiative explained their purpose thus: "With this song of many hearts that pray and sing to the Lord in the heart of Rome and of the Church, we try to abandon ourselves in the hands of the Lord so that, with his grace, these humanly difficult circumstances may mean, for each one of us, an interior growth in faith, hope and charity".
