On Wednesday, November 20, the Sedes community had the pleasure of hosting Sara Alessandrini as part of our "Sedes Guest" series. After sharing lunch and visiting the Blessed Sacrament, we gathered to hear Sara’s inspiring story and engage in a lively Question and Answers session.
Sara Alessandrini is a Roman Catholic travel blogger, writer, and media professional who uses her platforms to share her faith. With degrees in Italian Literature and Mass Communication, as well as a Master’s in Publishing and Journalism from the University of Roma Tre, Sara has built an impressive career. She collaborates with TV2000, the CEI’s Sport and Tourism Office, Il Timone magazine, and other Catholic media outlets. She is also the author of Un’altra Strada, a book exploring Marian shrines in Italy, and the founder of Socialmediamix, a company specializing in digital marketing.
Sara shared her journey, beginning with a challenging time in her early 20s marked by personal loss. Seeking solace, she turned to a priest whose joyful and unwavering faith became a source of healing and inspiration for her. His example ignited her desire to live her own faith fully and share it with others. She started blogging in 2017 (www.saralessandrini.it), focusing on religious pilgrimages and sacred traditions. Her strategic approach to storytelling allowed her to connect with thousands online and open doors to collaborations with media and tourism organizations.
Sara is currently working on a new guide to some miraculous Bambinelli statues in Rome while continuing her collaborations with Catholic organizations. As the session concluded, Sara left us with a powerful reminder: “Faith is not just something to believe; it’s something to live and share.” Her testimony resonated deeply, leaving us challenged to find our own ways to bring light and hope into the world.
