The Pro Eligendo Romano Pontifice Mass, celebrated at St. Peter’s Basilica ahead of the Conclave, was a solemn occasion marked by prayer and reflection as the College of Cardinals sought divine guidance for the election of the next Pope. Presided over by Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re, the Mass was a powerful expression of faith, uniting the Church in prayer.
Our seminarians had the opportunity to assist in the liturgical service. Being part of the liturgical proceedings allowed them to witness firsthand the beauty of the solemn rituals that accompany such an important moment in Church history. As the Cardinals prepared to enter the Conclave, the faithful across the globe joined in prayer, entrusting the election of the next Supreme Pontiff to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
