Recognise in this bread what hung on the cross, and in this chalice what flowed from His side…" (St. Augustine, Sermon 3:2)
On 26th September, our annual September outing took us to the historic hilltop town of Orvieto, where we celebrated Holy Mass in the magnificent Cathedral, at the chapel preserving the Sacred Corporal of the Eucharistic Miracle of Bolsena (1263), the miracle that inspired Pope Urban IV to institute the Feast of Corpus Christi and St. Thomas Aquinas to compose the timeless hymn Pange Lingua. We then explored its museums, Etruscan heritage, and breathtaking views.
