In a moment of deep spiritual significance, Pope Leo XIV led his first Regina Caeli prayer from the Balcony of the St. Peter’s Basilica. Thousands of faithful gathered in St. Peter’s Square to witness the newly elected pontiff deliver his message of peace, unity, and hope. This historic event was attended by a lot of seminarians from Sedes Sapientiae.

The Regina Caeli, traditionally recited during the Easter season, was sung in Latin by Pope Leo XIV, followed by a heartfelt address emphasizing vocations, service in the Church. The Pope reflected on the Gospel passage of the Good Shepherd, highlighting Christ’s love and sacrifice for his people.

Following the Regina Caeli, Pope Leo XIV addressed global concerns, calling for peace in conflict zones and urging world leaders to work toward reconciliation. He expressed deep sorrow over ongoing humanitarian crises and reiterated the Church’s commitment to fostering dialogue and justice.
