Ordinations of Our Former Seminarians

November and early December 2025 brought two great joys to our community. On November 21, we celebrated the priestly ordination of Maurício Silva de Andrade, a former student of Colegio Sedes Sapientiae, for the Archdiocese of Campo Grande. The ceremony, presided over by Archbishop Dimas Lara Barbosa, took place at Nossa Senhora Auxiliadora Parish. Through the solemn rite of the laying on of hands and anointing, Maurício was welcomed into the presbyterate, a sign of God’s fidelity and the fruitfulness of vocation.

A few days later, on December 5, another event filled our hearts with gratitude: the diaconate ordination of Evaristus Chimaobi Mmadudiri, a former student of Colegio Sedes Sapientiae, for the Diocese of Awka in Anambra State, Nigeria. The celebration was held at the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity in Onitsha, presided over by Archbishop Michael Francis Crotty, Apostolic Nuncio to Nigeria. Through this rite, Evaristus was called to serve the Church with humility and dedication.

These two ordinations, celebrated within days of each other, are a testimony to the vitality of the formation received at Colegio Sedes Sapientiae and to the universality of the Church. We entrust these new ministers of Christ to the prayer of Mary, Seat of Wisdom, that their path may always be guided by the light of the Gospel and the strength of the Holy Spirit.
