On Monday, October 7, the academic year began in University of Santa Croce with the celebration of the Votive Mass of the Holy Spirit at the Basilica of Sant’Apollinare, presided over by archbishop Giovanni Cesare Pagazzi, secretary of the Dicastery for Culture and Education. Following the Mass, archbishop Pagazzi delivered the inaugural lecture in the Aula Magna, complemented by inaugural addresses from the grand chancellor Mons. On the following day, 8 October, a welcome day for new students took place, including seminarians from Sedes Sapientiae. The program featured a greeting from Rector Fernando Puig followed by a buffet in the Courtyard of the Palazzo dell'Apollinare, and finally an information session, where detailed information about the university and the services available to students was shared.
