Lectorate 2022

On the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord, in the Basilica of St. Apollinare took place the conferral of the ministry of the lectorate to nine seminarians of our College coming from eight different dioceses.

The Holy Eucharist was presided over by H.E. Mons. Lazarus You Heung-sik, prefect of the Congregation for the Clergy. In his homily, he encouraged those who have received the ministry of proclaiming the Word not only to preach it, but to welcome it into the depths of their lives as Mary did the day she accepted the will of God proposed to her by St. Gabriel the Archangel.

At the end of the celebration, all present joined the Holy Father and the Bishops of the world who simultaneously consecrated Russia, Ukraine and the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, asking for an end to all forms of violence.
