Almost a thousand priests and seminarians from many different countries participated online or by presence in the course on the sacrament of confession offered by the Apostolic Penitentiary. Among the participants were fifteen third-year seminarians from our college, eager to receive the best possible training to become good confessors and spiritual guides in the future.
The lectures were held in the afternoon and were led by several expert speakers. The course ended with the opportunity to participate in the audience with Pope Francis, who chose not to deliver the speech he had prepared, but instead had the generous gesture of personally greeting, one by one, the more than 400 priests and seminarians present in the audience. An act of fatherly love that was all the more touching considering the Holy Father's health condition in recent weeks.
