From December 26 to 28, the first year seminarians went on a cultural tour of four cities in the Tuscany region: Siena, Pisa, Luca and Florence. As is traditional for this trip, the new seminarians had the opportunity to appreciate and get to know the highlights of each city. Before that, they had experienced with great emotion their first Christmas in Rome, participating in the Mass celebrated by the Holy Father in St. Peter's Basilica.
Don Javier, Don Fernando, Don Pablo and Don José accompanied the seminarians on this trip, which was brief but very intense: it allowed them to visit impressive historical, artistic and spiritual sites in the four cities mentioned.
Before that, they had prepared themselves with some sessions on the art and history of Tuscany given in the College by a teacher. In Florence, moreover, as every year, they had the good fortune to hear a cultured, surprising and at the same time amusing explanation of the wonderful church of Santa Maria Novella, from the lips of the president of the Association Ars et Fides Firenze, Enrico Santini, whom we thank for his availability and warm sympathy. We also thank the religious of the Congregation of the Daughters of St. Francis de Sales, in whose house near Luca they stayed.
