Great Joy at Bayonne, France!

Sunday, November 26th, solemnity of Christ the King, our brother Vincent-Marie Vayne received the diaconal ordination from the hands of Monsignor Marc Aillet, bishop of the diocese of Bayonne-Lescar-Oloron. The ceremony took place in the cathedral of Bayonne: together with Vincent-Marie, his co-diocesan, Vianney was also ordained deacon. Msgr. Aillet strongly emphasized during his homily the role of service to the Church that corresponds to the deaconate, encouraging the new clerics to imitate Christ, King of the Universe, who became our servant for love. Fr Eduardo traveled from Rome to accompany Vincent-Marie, who was a seminarian in Sedes Sapientiae from 2013 to 2017. Now the new deacon will continue his pastoral service in the parish of Notre-Dame de la Bidassoa, in the small town of Hendaye. Best wishes, dear Vincent-Marie, and good luck to your pastoral work!
