Easter Retreat

After experiencing the solemnity of the Easter Triduum in Rome or in various Italian parishes, a group of Sedes Sapientiae seminarians dedicated the first week of Easter to a profound spiritual retreat. In an atmosphere of silence and prayer, they sought to listen to the voice of the Risen Christ and deepen their faith. Don Mauro Carlino, a priest from the Diocese of Lecce, guided them through moments of meditation, confession, and Eucharistic celebrations, helping them reflect on the presence of the Holy Spirit and its work in their lives.

Obviously, the memory of Pope Francis, who died in the morning on the same day as the retreat began, was very present in the hearts and minds of all. Prayers were intense for his eternal repose and also for the Church in these first days of the vacancy of the See.

This retreat offered a valuable opportunity for the seminarians to step away from daily routines and focus on their spiritual growth. Strengthened by prayer and contemplation, they embraced a renewed sense of purpose in their formation and future ministry, carrying the fruits of this experience into their journey of priesthood.
