Fr Jonathan, originally from Venezuela and incardinated in the Diocese of San Cristobal, celebrated the Holy Mass on January 13, 2024, in the church of our college, where he received his priestly formation from 2016 to 2021.
After completing his studies in Theology at the University of the Holy Cross, Fr Jonathan furthered his education with a licentiate in dogmatics, also at the Holy Cross.
In his homily, Fr Jonathan shared some of his experiences in Rome and emphasized the importance of taking seriously the time dedicated to study and formation. He encouraged the present seminarians to be faithful witnesses of Christ, responding with commitment to the divine call.
He also invited everyone to continue praying for Venezuela and to tirelessly serve the Church with love and dedication, sharing in our respective dioceses the values acquired during the training period in Rome.
With confidence and prayer, we entrust Father Jonathan Parra and the entire Church in Venezuela into God's hands, so they may be bright witnesses of Christ's salvific presence in the world.
