During his recent meeting with priests and seminarians studying in Rome, one of the Holy Father's pieces of advice was to dedicate generous time to pastoral work, cultivating nearness to the People of God.
At Sedes Sapientiae, since the beginning of our seminary, the students dedicate a few hours each week to collaborate in the pastoral work that is carried out in various Roman institutions: parishes, hospitals, homes for the elderly, places of assistance to the indigent, etc. This is a concrete and indispensable way of developing the pastoral dimension of the formative itinerary, encouraging each seminarian to grow in this aspect.
This year, the pastoral activities began in the last days of October. We hope that they will bear abundant fruit of Christian life, both in the lives of the seminarians and in those of the people they meet in the context of this collaboration.
