On Tuesday 13th September, in the Basilica of San Apolinar, Benito Cárdenas, a seminarian from the diocese of San Cristóbal (Venezuela) was ordained as a deacon. After completing his first cycle of theology studies, he is now finishing his licentiate. The main celebrant was Mons. Juan Alberto Ayala, auxiliary bishop of San Cristóbal, who spent some days residing in our College. Many people were able to follow the ceremony from Venezuela thanks to streaming. On the other hand, they were able to be present the parish priests and some faithful from two parishes where Benito collaborated pastorally as a seminarian: the parish of San Antonino martyr and San Paolo VI pope, in Concesio (Brescia) and the parishes of San Terenziano and San Nicolò in Cavriago (Emilia-Romagna). Many congratulations, Benito, and good diaconal ministry!
