The First Festival of Christmas at the University of the Holy Cross was held on 15th December in the afternoon, beginning at 12:45 pm with the Holy Mass. This meaningful celebration brought together students, professors, and the wider academic community in a joyful atmosphere of faith, music, and unity.
After the Mass, the festival continued with a Christmas Song Competition in the Aula Magna, where cultures, voices, and talents blended into one festive celebration. The event highlighted the beauty of shared traditions and the vibrant spirit of the university through carefully prepared musical performances.
The celebration concluded with thanks and awards. First Prize was proudly awarded to the First Year Bachelorette students, including members of Colegio Sedes Sapientiae—a well-deserved victory and a joyful moment for all. Second Prize went to the Choir of Sedes Sapientiae for their performance of O Magnum Mysterium, a Renaissance motet by Tomás Luis de Victoria. Third Prize was won by the Professors, who delighted the audience with The Little Drummer Boy—performed by five members, four voices, and three residents of Colegio Sedes Sapientiae.
