It is with profound joy and heartfelt gratitude that we celebrate the recent sacred orders and diaconate ordinations of our esteemed alumni. We are truly privileged to witness the fulfillment of God’s calling in their lives.
On September 18, our dear Divin Raj Alapatt, a seminarian from the Syro-Malabar Diocese of Mississauga, received the minor order of sub-diaconate. The sacred rite was conferred by Mar Raphael Thattil, Major Archbishop of the Syro-Malabar Church, at St. Francis Retreat Center in Caledon, Canada.
The blessings continued with three diaconate ordinations in different parts of the world. On September 19, Agustín Chaicovsky was ordained a deacon at the Cathedral in the Diocese of San Roque de Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña, Argentina. The Holy Eucharist and ordination were presided over by Mons. Hugo Barbaro, the diocesan bishop.
Shortly after, on September 27, Johnpaul Chukwuebuka Oraefo was ordained a deacon by the Most Rev. Denis Chidi Isizoh at St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Aguleri, Nigeria. Then, on October 4, Rajeesh James, from the Diocese of Neyattinkara, India, was also ordained a deacon at the Parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Pathamkallu.
As a college, we give thanks to God for the gift of every vocation and for the grace of walking alongside these men throughout their formation. We remain committed to supporting them with our prayers and encouragement as they begin their ministry to serve God’s people with humility, love, and zeal. May their service always shine with the light, compassion, and truth of Christ.
