Our deacons and acolytes who by the grace of God were recently ordained and instituted respectively, have started exercising their ministries in various ways, principally at the altar. On the 14th of November, Rev. Benjamin Lewis had the opportunity of serving a papal mass during V World Day of the Poor by Pope Francis at the Basilica of St. Peter, Rome.
Also some of the newly instituted acolytes served at the masses of Cardinal Angelo Comastri at Parish of San Salvatore in Lauro and Cardinal Angelo De Donatis, Cardinal Vicar of Rome at the Parish of San Gregorio Magno, Rome.
On the 20th of November, our new deacons Rev. Emmanuel Marfo and Rev. Petro Chacha, and eight acolytes served in the diaconal ordination of the Prelature of the Opus Dei. This celebration, held at the Basilica of Sant’Eugenio at Rome, was presided over by Mons. José María Yanguas Sanz, Bishop of Cuenca, Spain.
