“Faithful Cross, above all other,
One and only noble Tree!…
Sweet the wood and sweet the iron,
Sweet the weight that hangs on thee!”
As every year, we gathered in solemn Vespers to venerate the precious relics of the Holy Cross. In an atmosphere of prayer and devotion, we approached the Cross and kissed it reverently, while the choir filled the chapel with the beautiful Latin hymn Crux Fidelis.
A Cross was beautifully decorated with flowers , reminding us that from the Cross comes new life.
May the Cross remain for us a faithful sign of Christ’s love and a source of strength and new life in our daily journey.
