On 11th September, we had the great honor of welcoming Don Fernando Puig, Rector of the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, for a moment of deep and enriching sharing. With simplicity and authenticity, he recounted his academic journey, his entry into Opus Dei, and the path that led him to become rector of the PUSC. His words touched the hearts of the seminarians at the Sedes Sapientiae College, reminding us that every vocation is a response of love and service.
During the meeting, Don Fernando answered the seminarians’ questions with openness and depth, addressing topics related to formation, the university’s mission, and spiritual life. He shared some reflections on the future projects of the PUSC, emphasizing the importance of a formation that combines academic rigor with openness to the world, faith, and culture.
His vision of the importance of ecclesiastical colleges was particularly meaningful: according to him, they are privileged places where not only study is cultivated, but also fraternity, prayer, and preparation for the priestly mission. He expressed gratitude for the role that the Sedes Sapientiae College plays in university life, calling it a true asset for the PUSC.
The meeting concluded in a climate of gratitude and inspiration, leaving all of us with the desire to live our vocation and formative journey with greater intensity.
