An encounter with the charisms of the Church

Some refer to the Holy Spirit as the “Great Unknown,” but today perhaps we can recognize more than ever His action in the midst of the Church. This was precisely the experience we had as a College on March 17, during our Sedes Guest program, with the visit of Fabiola, a member of the Shalom Community, an international association of lay people founded in 1982 by Moysés Azevedo, a consecrated layman.
As Fabiola shared, the founder felt in his heart God’s call to bring the Gospel to Brazilian youth. What Azevedo could not have imagined was that this mission would spread to nearly 30 countries. Truly, the Holy Spirit works in the hearts of people, and He does so in a powerful and abundant way.
We thank Fabiola for sharing with us her vocational and community experience, and we pray that the Lord may continue to work in the hearts of all members of the community, so that they may bring Christ to every place.
