The Prelate of Opus Dei, Monsignor Fernando Ocáriz, presided the liturgical rite in which fourteen seminarians of Sedes Sapientiae were admitted as candidates for Holy Orders. Through this rite, each seminarian declares their fervent will to serve God and humanity through the sacred ministry. The Church, in turn, publicly recognizes that an aspiring priest shows signs of having a vocation and formally admits them as a candidate. It is an important step in the formative journey.

The rite took place during the celebration of the Holy Mass corresponding to the second Sunday of Advent. Following the Eucharistic celebration, Monsignor Fernando Ocáriz had an informal meeting with the seminarians, during which there were questions and answers in a familial tone. Then, we enjoyed a festive lunch. It was a memorable day for the candidates, from seven different countries, as well as for their family and friends.
