A Wonderful visit to Vatican Garden

On Saturday the 25th, some seminarians, together with one of the priests of our College, visited the Vatican Gardens, continuing our tradition of discovering the heart of Rome under the meaningful motto: “Learning Rome.”

Beyond the indescribable sense of wonder at the richness and botanical beauty of the many species of flowers, plants, and the charming fountains—among them the fountain with turtles—within the gardens, we were deeply impressed by the extraordinary beauty of the sculptures, paintings, and statues of the saints. Particularly noteworthy were the various representations of Our Lady according to the traditions of different countries: Our Lady of Divine Love, Our Lady of Guadalupe, the replica of the Grotto of Lourdes, and many others. Walking along the avenues named after different popes and saints, we paused several times at other notable points in the gardens: the seat of Vatican Radio; the bell of the Jubilee of Mercy of 2016; the Vatican railway station; the Pontifical Academy of Sciences; the Vatican heliport, and more.

Finally, we concluded our visit by paying homage to Our Mother and Lady with the recitation of the Regina Coeli, the prayer proper to the Easter season.
