A new subdeacon

On 25 September, Sedes Sapientiae seminarian Nithin Payyappilly received the subdiaconate from his Ordinary, Mar Paul Alapatt, Bishop of the Eparchy of Ramanathapuram (India). The subdiaconate ordination ceremony took place in the College church during the celebration of Holy Qurbana, as the Eucharistic liturgy is called in the Syro-Malabar rite. As every year, it was very enriching for all to learn more about this ancient and venerable Eastern rite. Congratulations, Nithin!
