On September 26, the Sedes Sapientiae College paid tribute to Fr. Paul O’Callaghan, who served for nearly 30 years as Vice-Rector and Spiritual Director. His wisdom, gentle humor, and depth of reflection have left a lasting mark on generations of seminarians whom he accompanied with fidelity and care.
Born in Dublin in 1956 and trained as an engineer, he was ordained a priest in 1982 by Saint John Paul II. He later earned a doctorate in theology and has taught since 1987 at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, where he is Professor of Theological Anthropology. As both theologian and formator, he remains a guiding presence in the Church’s intellectual and spiritual life.
