Some seminarians participated in the recently concluded solemn commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Apostolic Constitution “Fidei Depositum” for the publication of the Catechism of the Catholic Church drafted after 2nd Vatican Council.
The event which took place on 11th October, 2017 at the Aula Nuova del Sinodo, Vatican; was organized by the “Pontifical Council for Promoting the New Evangelization.” The other participants include the Rectors of different seminaries, Catechists, Rev Fathers and Sisters. Likewise, some of the guests of honour were Msgr Rino Fisichella, president of the Pontifical Advice for the Promotion of the New Evangelization, Msgr Cesare Nosiglia, archbishop of Turin, His Eminence Christopher Cardinal Schönborn, archbishop of Vienna and Professor Katherina Karl from the Philosophisch-Thelogische Hochschule, Münster. They all gave a little presentation as regards the Catechism of the Catholic Church. More importantly, the event was greatly punctuated by the presence of His Holiness, Pope Francis, who concluded the event imparting his blessing. At the end of the event, all received a copy of the latest edition of the catechism booklet.
